Your DBS check for a sports referee, umpire or official will require a search for any unspent or spent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings. The DBS will also verify if there is any further non-conviction information in existence with relevant police forces or entries on the children’s and vulnerable adults barred lists.
DBS checks are a statutory measure set out in the 1974 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You will need to complete the check to commence your new role and any offer of employment will be subject to the CRB check.
