However, if you do become involved in any projects related to security, you will be required to undergo a higher level DBS check called an enhanced DBS check.

An enhanced DBS check for a physicist will involve a search to verify whether you have any unspent or spent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings. The DBS will also check if there is any further non-conviction information in existence with relevant police forces.
